MCRAA Committees

  • Annual Conference and Education Committee

    Such committees shall consist of a chair and co-chair from the Board. The committee shall include members who are interested in volunteering to help design and set up the annual conference and shall meet every few months until about six months from the annual conference and then it starts meeting every other week.

  • Education Committee

    This committee shall set the annual educational agenda for the Corporation, with a goal of having monthly educational sessions for the members ranging from thirty minutes to an hour on topics of interest to the membership.

  • Membership and Marketing Committee

    This committee shall be chaired by a Board member and meet every other month and focus on how best to market the organization to associations, corporations and other entities for membership consideration. This committee shall also help with membership solicitation.

  • Legislative & Policy Committee.

    Such a committee shall consist of a chair and co chairs from the Board and includes mostly Board members and Advisory council members any member could request to join (but has to be approved by the Board). The committee shall meet monthly and then as needed to discuss federal as well as state legislation that is focused on advancing medical cannabis research and physician, prescriber and patient education as to the treatments associated with medical cannabis. The committee shall draft comments for review by the Board on proposed federal rules mostly tied to the US Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS), and its sub agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Federal Drug Administration, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

  • Communication Committee

    The committee shall be chaired by a Board member and shall meet every other month to focus on the Corporation’s communications with members and non-members, specific to benefits, services, activities and achievements. The communication committee is tasked with helping design the Corporation’s members' electric e-news (going out every other week) and digital newsletter (monthly). Members of this committee will volunteer to write articles or snippets for these communication vehicles. It also helps with social media presence (Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook).

  • Benefits Task Force

    This is a time limited committee composed of the Board’s Executive Committee to determine what benefits and associated services should be offered to members through the Corporation. The CEO and Chair of the Board shall co-chair this committee.
